Heinrich Kleinschmidt

Heinrich’s fascination for electronics, engineering and computer technology began in his early childhood when his parents gifted him with a Lego-set of the best kind. He would playfully challenge himself to building original designs outside of the well-crafted Lego constructs. Needless to say his natural technological leaning, coupled with a proclivity for logical and lateral thinking, created the opportunity for him to study Electrical Engineering at Stellenbosch University or the Cape Town University of Technology. He chose the latter and successfully completed his studies in 2001.

However, Heinrich’s particular interest in computer technology inspired him to attend various extracurricular IT courses while at school and university. After taking time out to travel and work overseas, primarily in England and Scotland, he returned to South Africa and immediately joined a computer service company in Cape Town.

Heinrich reached a pivotal turning point in his life a mere two years or so later when he decided to take the bold and courageous step to start his own business. And so, the registration of Southern Star Computers took place in 2005. He has never looked back since! His knowledge, experience, and expertise within the ever-changing multi-faceted nature of the IT industry has matured steadily over the past 15 years.

A progressive results-oriented and customer centric leadership style has become the hallmark of Heinrich’s business success. Trustworthy relationships built on consistency, transparency, and authentic communication are values he cherishes most. Besides his passion for continuous learning and keeping abreast of ongoing advancements in IT, Heinrich’s resourceful solution driven resilience in resolving seemingly impossible challenges is a strong suit of note.

Heinrich defines Southern Star Computers’ vision as: “Providing relevant solution-driven IT consulting and managed support services, personalised to optimise business processes and user efficiency at all levels.” He adds… “we are currently implementing a series of strategic initiatives designed to accelerate growth whilst deepening and expanding our service offerings, uniquely positioned to meet the total requirements of small and medium sized businesses.”
